My work starts in the Hellenistic tradition, because it asks the clearest question first: what condition is each planet actually in? Essential dignity is an unsentimental way to read a chart. It tells you where a planet is at home and able to act, and where it is working against the grain. Whole sign houses, profections, solar returns, and zodiacal releasing all follow from that.
That gives us the structure of the chart. It doesn’t yet give us the meaning.
So from there I bring in the modern material: what a placement is asking of you, what you inherited, and what you are in the middle of becoming. The ancient technique tells us when a chapter opened and how long it runs. The psychological and evolutionary lens tells us what the chapter is for.
